Projects

Practical solutions built around real challenges.

Selected examples of GOMar work across automation, project controls, planning, systems, and information management.

Automation / Reporting

Laboratory Report Generator

Challenge

A Client's reporting workflow required information from source reports to be transferred into a standardized Laboratory-specific deliverable. The process involved repetitive manual work, formatting requirements, data interpretation, and opportunities for transcription error.

Approach

GOMar developed a Microsoft Word automation solution that reads information from source reports, applies defined transformation rules, populates the required report format, and produces a standardized output for review.

Result

The resulting workflow reduced repetitive report preparation, improved consistency, and provided a repeatable process for generating the required deliverable. Additionally, a short verification report was produced to highlight any data interpretation issues.

AI / Knowledge Management

Engineering Assistant

Challenge

Valuable engineering and technical knowledge often becomes fragmented across project files, notes, conversations, scripts, and individual experience, making it difficult to retrieve and reuse later.

Approach

GOMar developed a private Engineering Assistant designed to capture reusable technical knowledge, organize it into a structured knowledge base, and make that information searchable through a browser-based interface.

Result

The system provides a practical foundation for preserving lessons learned, procedures, troubleshooting experience, and reusable engineering knowledge instead of relying on memory or scattered documentation.

Planning / Automation

Schedule Architecture Tools

Challenge

Complex project schedules can become difficult to understand, maintain, and evaluate when schedule architecture, logic, and planning conventions are inconsistent.

Approach

GOMar explored tools and methods for improving the structure, analysis, and presentation of complex schedule information, combining scheduling experience with practical automation.

Result

The work established a foundation for schedule-analysis and architecture tools that can support clearer planning, better schedule reviews, and more consistent project-control practices.

Project Philosophy

Start with the challenge, not the technology.

GOMar projects begin by understanding the work, the existing environment, and the practical constraints.

The solution may be a better schedule, a revised process, a small automation tool, a system integration, or something entirely different. The objective is to solve the challenge without introducing unnecessary complexity.
